Dubai, a city defined by innovation and avant-garde thinking, has unveiled a new project that will transform its urban landscape: Therme Dubai – Islands in the Sky. This ambitious complex, which fuses the vision of an urban oasis with wellness-focused facilities, has been approved by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
The project, a collaboration between the architecture firm Diller Scofidio + Renfro and the Therme Group, will be located in Zabeel Park, adjacent to the Royal Palace, in the heart of Dubai. Spanning 500,000 square meters and rising 100 meters into the sky, this complex will become a new icon of the Dubai skyline.
Therme Dubai – Islands in the Sky will offer visitors a unique, holistic wellness experience, featuring elevated botanical gardens, tiered terraces, cascading thermal and mineral-water pools, and spaces for cultural and social events.
The complex has been designed with a focus on sustainability, incorporating innovative technologies to reduce its environmental impact and maximize benefits for the surrounding community. 90% of the thermal pool water will be recycled, and 80% of ventilation and cooling needs will be powered by clean energy sources.
Therme Dubai – Islands in the Sky is a testament to Dubai’s commitment to creating a sustainable urban future focused on the well-being of its residents. Construction is expected to begin in 2026 and be completed in 2028.
